Modern Slavery Statement
CrownSync CE Readiness
Last updated: March 2026
This statement is made by CrownSync LTD (company number 15464490), registered at 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom, pursuant to section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. It sets out the steps CrownSync LTD has taken, and is taking, to ensure that modern slavery and human trafficking are not taking place in our business or supply chain.
Although CrownSync LTD is currently below the mandatory reporting threshold of £36 million annual turnover, we publish this statement voluntarily as part of our commitment to ethical business practices and transparency.
Our Business
CrownSync LTD is a UK-based software company that develops and operates CrownSync CE Readiness, a web-based SaaS platform helping UK organisations prepare for Cyber Essentials certification. We operate entirely within the United Kingdom. Our workforce is UK-based.
Our business model is entirely digital. We do not manufacture physical goods, operate warehouses, or engage in logistics.
Our Supply Chain
Given the nature of our business as a digital software company, our supply chain is limited and low-risk. Our principal suppliers and service providers include:
- Cloud and infrastructure providers — Hetzner Online GmbH (server hosting, Germany), Cloudflare Inc (CDN and security, United States)
- Software and tooling — Clerk Inc (authentication), Resend (email delivery), and standard open-source software libraries
- Professional services — occasional UK-based freelance contractors engaged for specific technical or creative work
All suppliers are established, reputable technology businesses operating in regulated markets with their own published modern slavery statements or equivalent ethical commitments. We do not engage with manufacturers, agricultural producers, or industries historically associated with elevated modern slavery risk.
Policies
CrownSync LTD is committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships. Our approach to modern slavery is reflected in the following:
Ethical Procurement
When engaging suppliers and contractors, we consider their ethical standards alongside commercial factors. We do not knowingly engage any supplier that has been found to use forced labour, child labour, or exploitative employment practices.
Employment Practices
All individuals engaged by CrownSync LTD are paid at or above the UK National Living Wage. We do not use zero-hours contracts as a mechanism to reduce worker protections. We verify the right to work in the United Kingdom for all individuals we engage.
Contractor Engagement
Freelance contractors engaged by CrownSync LTD are required to confirm they are operating lawfully and are not subject to any form of coercion or exploitation.
Due Diligence
We take the following steps to identify and address modern slavery risk:
- We assess the nature and geography of our supply chain annually and identify any elevated-risk relationships
- We review the modern slavery statements and ethical policies of our principal technology suppliers
- We engage only with UK-based contractors or contractors in jurisdictions with equivalent employment protections
- We maintain an open-door policy for all personnel to raise concerns without fear of retaliation
Given the digital nature of our supply chain, we assess our overall modern slavery risk as low. We have not identified any instances of modern slavery or human trafficking in our business or supply chain.
Training and Awareness
We ensure that all personnel associated with our business are aware of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and understand how to identify and report concerns. Awareness is communicated directly to all personnel and reviewed annually.
Reporting Concerns
If you have any concerns about modern slavery or human trafficking in connection with CrownSync LTD or our supply chain, please contact us immediately:
- Email: [email protected]
- Post: CrownSync LTD, 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX
All reports will be treated seriously and in confidence. We will not penalise anyone who raises a genuine concern in good faith.
Future Steps
As CrownSync LTD grows, we are committed to:
- Formalising our supplier due diligence process as our supply chain expands
- Introducing written contractual requirements for modern slavery compliance with all suppliers above a material spend threshold
- Reviewing and updating this statement annually and publishing the updated version on this page
- Considering independent verification of our supply chain practices as our business scales
