Accessibility Statement
CrownSync CE Readiness
Last updated: March 2026
CrownSync LTD is committed to making ce.crownsync.uk accessible to everyone, in accordance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. We believe accessibility is a legal obligation, a commercial responsibility, and the right thing to do — particularly given that many of our users work in regulated sectors where accessibility compliance is expected of their suppliers.
Compliance Status
Ce.crownsync.uk aims to be fully compliant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We have addressed all known issues identified in our most recent audit. We continue to test regularly and welcome reports of any issues we may have missed.
What We Have Done
We have implemented the following accessibility measures across this website:
- All images have descriptive alt text or are marked as decorative with aria-hidden
- All pages have a descriptive, unique page title
- All pages use the correct HTML language attribute (lang="en")
- All pages include appropriate landmark regions including main, nav, and footer
- Interactive elements include visible focus indicators
- A skip-to-main-content link is available on all pages for keyboard users
- Colour is not used as the sole means of conveying information
- All form inputs in the assessment tool are labelled
- The site is navigable by keyboard throughout
- Authentication is handled by Clerk and does not require cognitive puzzles or CAPTCHAs
- Skip navigation link is present as the first focusable element on all pages, targeting the main content area
- The prefers-reduced-motion media query is implemented — users who enable reduced motion in their OS settings will have animations suppressed
- External links that open in a new tab include a visually hidden screen reader warning "(opens in a new tab)"
- Comparison tables include scope="col" on column headers, visually hidden captions, and text alternatives (Yes/No) for tick and cross symbols
- Section elements use aria-labelledby to reference their visible headings, enabling screen reader users to navigate by landmarks
- The hero dashboard mockup is marked aria-hidden="true" as it is decorative and not real content
- Interactive call-to-action elements use valid <a> elements styled as buttons rather than nested <button> inside <a> patterns
- Step number circles in the five-step section are marked aria-hidden="true" as the step names are conveyed by the adjacent headings
- The main navigation includes aria-label="Main navigation"
- The <main> element includes tabindex="-1" to ensure skip link focus works correctly in all browsers
